Our vision is to develop collaborative, impactful communities through educational projects in Sierra Leone that bring the knowledge and skills needed for self sufficiency.
What we do
The aim of the NGO "Education for All in Sierra Leone" project is to reach isolated communities in rural Sierra Leone to provide access to education for all children. We encourage families to send their children to school, particularly girls who are often marginalized, sponsor the best students and grant yearly scholarships to the students whose parents cannot afford it.

As well as offering a quality education, the project aims to offer literacy and vocational training classes to adults and young adults to help them learn a trade in order to improve their quality of life and reduce poverty and famine in their community."

We operate in two villages:
MASANTIGIE
The village of Masantigie and surrounding villages Matainke, Masouri et Pa Loko (western area rural district) where we started the project in 2003.
MALIMBA
The village of Malimba (Koya Chiefdom, Port Loko district) where we started the construction of a new building in 2020 at the request of the villagers.
The villages are 40 km and 65 km away from Freetown and only accessible by off-road vehicles. They were selected because the closest school was a walking distance of 10 km away and because prior to this project, there was no access to primary education available in the area around the villages of Masantigie and Malimba.
Why Sierra Leone?
Once the center of West African education, trade and development, poor management and the civil war brought Sierra Leone to such poverty and devastation that it is catalogued by the United Nations as one of the poorest countries in the world with breakdown of all authority and services including medicine and education.

Its people are only slowly emerging from this chaos and it is with great courage and determination that the people of Sierra Leone have come together to rebuild their lives and their schools.

Internal conflict crippled the country from the late 1980s onward, culminating in a brutal civil war that took place from 1991 to 2002. Since the end of the war, the government of Sierra Leone has faced the difficult task of rebuilding the country’s physical and social infrastructure while fostering reconciliation
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
