In cooperation with the Merck Foundation, we started a two-year medical project. Our target group is on school-age children between the ages of 5 and 14 years attending our schools in Masantigie and Malimba. Keeping children in school through better health is key to their well-being and long-term development. The initiative aims to provide regular health check-ups, diagnoses, follow-up visits, health education, and access to medicines. In addition, adolescent girls and young women will receive menstrual health education and appropriate medical support. Based on our previous experience in the two villages, we anticipate that more children from surrounding areas will participate once a health professional is available regularly.
